Veterans Horse Program
Healing and Transformation Through Equine Connection
About the Program
Founded by Amy Foster, a dedicated Army veteran, the Veterans Horse Program at Unbridled Performance provides transformative equine-assisted coaching and learning experiences for veterans and their families. Located on a serene 34-acre farm in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, this program leverages the profound connection between humans and horses to promote healing, self-awareness, and personal growth.
Why Horses?
Horses are extraordinary animals with a unique ability to mirror human emotions and behaviors. Their honest and immediate feedback offers unparalleled opportunities for self-discovery and personal development. Working with horses has been shown to reduce stress, alleviate symptoms of PTSD, and enhance overall well-being. Horses help veterans develop essential skills such as empathy, self-acceptance, and emotional regulation.

Veteran Organizations we Partner With:
We are proud to collaborate with Jim Skal, the Executive Director of Outdoor Immersion (OI), a faith-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting the mind, body, and spirit of veterans. From the moment we met, it was clear that the Good Lord had brought us together, enabling us to achieve far more together than we ever could alone.
To support OI's mission, we offered full access to our 34-acre farm, which features scenic hiking trails, a serene pond, an equestrian center, and a meeting room. Additionally, I provide my services as an equine-assisted coach. Our partnership officially launched this past April with an open house, and we are now actively scheduling sessions for veterans and their families.
We are excited to expand our reach and are seeking partnerships with other faith-based veteran organizations to touch the lives of even more veterans. Together, we can make a lasting impact.
